MegaDemos v2.1  01/30/2002

Instructions:
------------
Assuming you unzipped this file into your 
Quake3 folder correctly, all you should need 
to do is double-click on the "MegaDemos.bat" 
file found in your Quake3 root folder.  

The default location for this file is: 
c:\Program Files\Quake III Arena\

Once started, the demos will play all the way
through the game including all the cinematics
except for the intro.  The play length is a 
little over 1.5 hours, so if you leave and
come back you can start at any tier of the 
game by starting the batch file, then when
the first demo starts, pull down the console
with the ~ key, and type this at the console:

/VSTR T1

T1 represents Tier 1, and you can enter any value
up to T7 for the final battle.

Also, all of the demos will now show up in the 
"DEMOS" menu, and you can play them individually.

Version 2.1 notes:
-----------------
Q3 v1.30 was not the final release, it was v1.31.
Id Software changed the demo naming scheme again
so my only change in v2.1 is to rename the v1.30
files so they will play in v1.31.  No demos were
re-recorded.


Version 2 notes:
---------------
Since Quake3 version 1.30 is supposedly the 
final version, I thought it would be fun to
redo my Nightmare demo movie.  All of these
demos were done since the 1.30 release.

The only changes since last time is that I 
used a player model with less irritating sounds.
I did retain my klesk/flisk head model since 
he's kind of my trademark.  The headmodel looks
wrong in the scoreboard though... oh well.

Also, just to raise the bar a bit, I limited
myself to 4 1/2 minutes per level this time.


Purpose:
-------
This set of demos was put together simply for 
entertainment and education...not to show off. :) 
I am fully aware that many other players can 
beat the game on the Nightmare setting quicker 
and with less deaths than I.  This pack file 
could be used as a model for someone else to 
put together a "hall of fame" set of demos of
the best times and/or least deaths for each level 
ala Quake-Done-Quick or something.
