Friday: BigDaddy
and wife arrive at FD&H's house. Shortly after, Mega arrives
with wife Hathor. To our awe and amazement, we see the Compaq server that FD&H had ready for
us. Four Xeon 450Mhz Processors, and 1GB of RAM. Wooooohooooo.
There was plenty of time left in the day for some 3-way Lithium
action. For this small group, we had all weapons enabled. Here's
some demos:
Saturday: The Curse arrives first,
and unfortunately, he's the last of the KYA crew that came.
Several other "familiar" faces did come though. We had
plenty of targets, err, players to make for some insane action.
Lotsa skillful players showed up to raise the stakes a bit from
the last LAN Party.
Lithium:
First, and last on the agenda was
Lithium. {CPQ}Guerro was killer at Lithium. He was no less than
1st place on every map. Download Hathor's female cheetah skin if
you don't already have it: cheet1.zip
Rocket Arena was next. FD&H
ruled the roost as usual. To play the demos, copy to your
quake2/arena/demos folder and start up RA. Put this handy batch
file in your quake2 directory to start up RA: arena.bat
Red: BigD,
Hathor, Fat. Blue: Mega, Curse. Watch Hathor get some
kills!! You'd never know that she rarely plays quake, and
she's also handicapped by a P200 with slow video.
Here's some 1
vs 1 action. FD&H started yelling PULL as he shot us
out of the air one by one with the railgun.
Weapons
Of Destruction:
Weapons Of Destruction was total
chaos. You wouldn't believe how loud it was with 10 or so
players' speakers blairing. Everyone had just about enough of
that mod after about 2 maps. hehe
King
of the Hill:
We even played some King
Of the Hill. I
forgot how fun this mod can be. Demos go in quake2/koth/demos.

You will see
the best railgun spree Mega's ever had. Very slow start,
but a strong finish. Somebody forgot to tell Mega his
invinsibility wore off. (lol) Also, you'll be rolling on
the floor laughing at all the victims that get shot right
as they run up the "dirt pile" and the bodies
end up floating or hanging on the cliff. It's hilarious.
